About Osterley Station

If you’ve ever ridden the Piccadilly line to Heathrow, you’ve likely stopped at Osterley station without even noticing. Designed by Charles Holden and Stanley Heaps, this Art Deco landmark was built as a futuristic gateway to West London, complete with its iconic brick tower and lantern beacon.

To create this piece, I visited the station to taking reference photos (white fielding suspicious questions from station staff), and researched historical archives to restore the building back to its pristine opening-day state. Part of a series of artworks dedicated to the beautiful Art Deco buildings of London.
